Logging of Poop
We all need to go to the toilet from time to time, and normally this is just something we do and don’t really think about it. But when you’re having an upset stomach and you want to figure out why, it could be good idea to store information about your visits to the porcelain throne.
There exists a scale to categorize your faeces, namely the bristol stool scale. It’s grading your poop in a range from 1 to 7 where 1 is solid lumps and 7 is completely liquid.
There are many apps out there that does this, for example Bristol stool scale for IOS and Pooplog for Android, they have some really nice features and information. The Windows Phone store had one app which was good but I felt I wanted to have more information and additional statistics.
I felt it was time to take matters into my own hands and try to deliver something more. I created Pooplogger, a free app that lets you can keep track of your bowel movements.
Some of the apps features
- Showing what time and day you normally go to the toilet
- Showing what type
- Your average visits per day
- The results from the previous weeks
I used to have a pretty upset stomach and with some logging and figuring out what not to eat and increase my workouts, I’m now having a calmer stomach. I hope that my quest for a more stable stomach and statistics might help people out, that have stomach problems.
Here is a video from the tv-series “Scrubs” Everything comes down to poo…
